2010 DIY MUSIC FESTIVAL WINNERS NAMED

LOS ANGELES (February 8, 2010) _ The 2010 DIY Music Festival has selected Skyrocket Love and The Lost Boys as the winning acts for its annual competition honoring the best of independently-produced music.
The two will be honored at a dinner in Los Angeles on February 24 with a panel of industry experts. They will also be featured at an industry showcase on February 25 in Hollywood co-sponsored by Bug Music/Windswept, North America’s largest independent music publisher, at the Hotel Cafe.
Skyrocket Love hails from Pasadena, CA and boasts a strong, melodic sound. Together just two years, the band has focused on recording and plans to release its debut album later this year.
The Lost Boys are a group of 16-17 year olds that have already opened for a number of national acts. Their polished sound impressed the competition judges for its raw honesty and catchy pop.
The 2010 DIY Music Festival is part of the tenth annual DIY Convention: Do It Yourself in Film, Music & Books.
