2007 DIY MUSIC FESTIVAL WINNERS NAMED LOS ANGELES (February 12, 2007) -- The 2007 DIY Music Festival has named San Francisco's Cathy Richardson Band and its "Delusions of Grandeur" as the 2007 DIY Album of the Year.
Richardson, who moved to the Bay area from Chicago late last year, was showcased at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood in a special series tied to the seventh annual DIY Convention, which celebrates independent film, music and books. The showcases were sponsored by Bug Music, CD Baby, JakPrints and the National Assn. of Record Industry Professionals.
Other festival winners and showcase performers included The Craze, Coby Brown, Rachel Sage and John Batdorf.
